Today we are looking back to January 12, 1968 when one of the biggest singing groups in the world guest starred on the weekly TV Series Tarzan in an episode entitled The convert.   

Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong played three nuns who come to the assistance of a village where they hoped to build a new hospital.  The head of the village is not happy with the plans for the new hospital as he sees it as a betrayal for their more traditional beliefs.  What the trio of nuns do not realize is that the man who is assisting them with the plans for the hospital has other plans for the land that the village sits on. 

They sing two songs in this episode, “The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves” and the traditional “Michael, Row The Boat Ashore.”
