La Voix Studio's "Legendary Groups" Showcase & Fundraiser.

On Tuesday, May 19th 2026 Scherrie Payne, Lynda Laurence & Joyce Vincent were special guests at The La Voix Studio's "Legendary Groups" showcase and Fundraiser.

The La Voix students showcased their talents in groups, performing hits thought the decades (1950's - 2020s!) The evening included special celebrity performances by members of legendary groups including Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence (THE SUPREMES,) Val Young (THE MARY JANE GIRLS,) & Joyce Vincent-Wilson & Pam Vincent (TONY ORLANDO & DAWN.)

The Ladies opened their 1960's set with THE SUPREMES' classic "The Happening," then went into a medley of "Stop In The Name of Love," Where Did Our Love Go," and "Baby Love." Then Miguel Herrera joined the Ladies of "Tony Orlando & Dawn," (Joyce Vincent-Wilson & Pam Vincent) in a medley of their 70's hits "Knock 3 Times" & "Tie A Yellow Ribbon ('Round The Ole Oak Tree.) Going into the 1980's Val Young performed "All Night Long" with a few La Voix students as her "Mary Jane Girls." The audience erupted with applause for all of the celebrity guests. The evening was full of great music and dancing.

La Voix studio is owned and operated by Scherrie's daughter Shoshana Payne Phillips. The Ladies are not only proud ambassadors of the studio, but they are also students! The ladies take a weekly voice class with Shoshana to keep their voices in tip top shape!.
