#FlosFriday - Celebrating 34 years with the Former Ladies of The Supremes.  Today we are looking back to 1986, the very beginning of The Former Ladies of The Supremes' career, with Scherrie Payne, Jean Terrell and Cindy Birdsong.

​In 1986, Scherrie Payne was approached by Ronnie Philips to form a new group consisting of former Motown Supremes.  Scherrie contacted former Supremes' members Cindy Birdsong and Jean Terrell who agreed to join, and the new trio was formed.  Their vision was to rekindle the glamour, style and music of The Supremes.  The name for the trio was a natural evolution.....THE F.L.O.S. - "The Former Ladies of The Supremes.”

This new trio of Scherrie, Jean and Cindy traveled to Colorado with The Originals ("Baby I'm For Real") for a performance that utimately didn't happen. 

​Unfortunately this brief lineup of F.L.O.S. never performed, recorded, or took publicity/promo photos together as Cindy Birdsong shortly departed for a solo career.  Cindy was once again replaced by former Motown Supreme Lynda Laurence.
