Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence had a very special guest in the audience at La Voix's disco showcase - David Hewlett (Cindy Birdsong's son.)  His lovely wife, and one of his beautiful daughters attended with him.  Scherrie and Lynda were so happy to see him and family.  After the Ladies'  performance the Hewlett's joined the ladies back-stage where they were able to catch up and take photos.  David reports that Cindy is being well cared for and he's appreciates all of the love for Cindy.  

Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence both had the opportunity to perform as members of THE SUPREMES alongside Cindy Birdsong.  Lynda performed with Cindy several times in 1972, and Scherrie performed alongside Cindy from late 1973 through early 1976.  

SUPREMES TRIVIA: Did you know that Cindy Birdsong trained Lynda Laurence when she joined THE SUPREMES?  Cindy trained Lynda for several months before Lynda made her stage debut.   Cindy Birdsong and Mary Wilson taught Lynda THE SUPREMES' music and choreography.  Lynda is the only member of THE SUPREMES who was personally trained by her predecessor.
