Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of "Supremely Yours!"

On Friday's we celebrate the 34 year history & legacy of The Former Ladies of The Supremes, we call it #FLOSFriday.

Today we are going back to 1995 when The Former Ladies of The Supremes' Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence with Sundray Tucker released their Studio Album/CD "Supremely Yours,"  which was produced by Steve Weaver.

This album has become a fan favorite and
all three ladies have an equal number of lead vocals.  They share lead vocals on three songs "Stop to Love", "Feel Like Making Love" and '70s Supremes' classic "Touch."  Steve eventually recorded over 40 songs with the ladies, most of them have now been released.   #GreatMusicalMemories #KeepTheMusicPlaying

"Wow!  I can't believe that it was 25 years ago when the Supremely Yours CD was released.  Lynda, Sundray and I had such a great time recording it.  Thanks to the efforts of Steve Weaver this was all made possible... We love and miss him, dearly! " - Scherrie Payne, Formerly of The Supremes

"I can’t believe it’s been 25 yrs since “Supremely Yours” was released. Wow!  How time flies.

I have to say that Steve Weaver truly showed his musical prowess on this one. He did everything but sing! And when he wanted to change something he even did that.! Ha! Although he had never produced a CD before... he knew what he wanted to hear from us. With John Purser by his side he let us know when we should do another take or keep going.  It was then that I learned the British expression “what are like!"  We laughed a lot!  Steve always made us laugh!  That made the mood lite so it was easy to do.

I love the choice of songs we did, even now!  Great songs with great lyrics never die!  Steve was the Chief Cook and bottle washer on this project. He wanted everything to be Supremely done. And it was, twenty five years ago.........

Thank You Steve Weaver for giving us a chance to show our voices in a different way and for taking up the mantle and giving it your all!!! Because you did that .....  We “KEPT THE MUSIC PLAYING.”

Love you Stevie Weevie!
