This week we are looking back at the ladies' illustrious careers. Not only have the ladies performed and recorded in groups, but they have also recorded solo and as duets. This week we are looking back at some of the duets the ladies have recorded over the years. Today we are looking back to 1976 when Lynda Laurence recorded "Just One Look/Baby I'm Yours" with Harry Nilsson. This duet was featured on his 1976 album "....That's The Way It Is." "Listening to this duet with Harry Nilsson takes me right back to one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. 🎶
It was a live studio session — full orchestra, strings and all. The energy in that room was electric. Harry, Trevor Lawrence (session producer, and my husband at that time), and I were all close friends. So when Harry asked me to sing a duet with him, I was beyond honored. From then on, he affectionately called me “Co” — short for co-singer. “Hi, Co,” he’d say. Only those who were there knew the story behind that nickname. 😊 Klaus Voormann, an incredible bassist and artist, sketched a drawing of Harry and me singing in the booth. We were in separate booths, but in his art, we were together. I’ll never forget it. That session was one-of-a-kind. Pure joy, pure music, and a moment I’ll cherish forever. 💫🎤🎻" -Lynda Laurence 2025 #HarryNilsson #StudioMemories #Duet #Throwback #LiveRecording #OrchestralSession
