April 13th 2026 - On this day in 1976 (50 years ago) Susaye Greene made her stage debut as the newest member of THE SUPREMES!

The Supremes, (L-R) Scherrie Payne, Mary Wilson & Susaye Greene, opened at the Royal Hawaiian Supper Club in Falls Church Virginia.

Susaye is officially recognized as "The Last Supreme" signed to Motown.

Happy GOLDEN (50th)  anniversary Susaye, We love you!

FROM THE DESK OF SCHERRIE PAYNE

Wow!  I can't believe it was fifty years ago when Susaye Greene made her debut with The Supremes.  It was at The Royal Hawaiian Supper club in Falls Church, Virginia...  Mary Wilson and I were so excited when she joined us.  Susaye brought a new voice to the group. She could go low and then soar into the skies like Minnie Riperton, hitting notes in the stratosphere.  It was different and sensational.  It was a wonderful night and the audience loved her.  Previously, I had been labelled as "the little lady with the big voice."  Now, Susaye shared that distinction because she was shorter than me!  We always had a good laugh over that...Mary and I were so proud of the new addition.

Susaye brought a new look and sound to the group.  It allowed us to explore new vocal territories, giving us the advantage of being able to record songs of different genres we hadn't tried before...  It was a wonderful period of time I'll always cherish. I'm so proud of the work we did both onstage as well as in the recording studios...

Susaye is also a super-talented songwriter. In addition to our group, she wrote hits for various other artists such as Deniece Williams and co-written hits with Stevie Wonder.  She always met vocal and writing opportunities with style and grace...

Applause and congratulations go to my dear friend and Supreme Sister, the last Supreme!  Thank you, Susaye Greene!  Thank you for all you've done and continue to do...  I'll forever love you!!

Blessings,
Scherrie Payne

FROM THE DESK OF LYNDA LAURENCE

Hello Everyone,
Here’s hoping you all are happy and healthy !

Just a note to say HAPPY "SUPREME" ANNIVERSARY to another Supreme Sister….Ms. Susaye Green!
It’s very hard to believe she is celebrating her 50th
year in Supremes history!

It was 50 years ago when she bought her own unique style and grace to our group.  Having already performed with Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, Susaye brought those serious “High” notes to The Supremes.  She will always have the distinction of being, the last true Supreme.

So Kudos & Cheers to you Susaye for a long musical journey, where the music never ends.

Keep The Music Playing
Love Always

#FLOSspotlight - In celebration of The Former Ladies of The Supremes' 40th anniversary we'd like to shine the #F.L.O.S spotlight on people who have been instrumental behind the scenes of the Ladies' career.  Today we are shining the F.L.O.S. spotlight on Mr. Steve Weaver!   Steve goes way back to the beginning of the trio.  Steve has been invaluable to the Ladies' career, and he's done it all!  He toured as the ladies' road manager/personal assistant, he organized and artistically directed photo-shoots, he recorded and produced the trio, designed stage wear,  helped with hair and makeup backstage,  and so much more!  Steve had done it all!!! And we honor him today!

"F.L.O.S. Spotlight on Steve Weaver"

In the more than 40 years that Scherrie Payne and I have been colleagues and Supreme sisters, there is one individual without whom this group may not have endured. Was he a Motown executive? An industry insider? No. His name is Steve Weaver — and he was (and still is) a devoted Supremes fan.

So how did he help sustain us?

As anyone in the music industry understands, longevity requires far more than talent. When Jean Terrell, Scherrie Payne and I came together to form The Former Ladies of The Supremes, we recognized that preserving a legacy meant navigating a complex and ever-changing business landscape. We needed someone who not only understood the mechanics of the industry, but who genuinely cared about the artists behind the name.

Many things were different then. There were no mobile phones, and international calls were costly. Steve was based in the UK, so every conversation required intention and investment. But from the very beginning, I sensed that he was worth it.

When Ian Levine of Motor City Records introduced us to Steve, I immediately saw something special. He wasn’t simply a fan — he was deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and insightful. At the time, he was working with Sony, and his understanding of not only our catalog but the broader Motown legacy impressed me tremendously. His enthusiasm was matched by substance.

I asked for his number so we could stay in touch, believing he might serve as a valuable connection in the European market. What I could not have anticipated was just how instrumental he would become.

Our first international phone call surprised him, but it marked the beginning of a professional partnership and enduring friendship that continues to this day. Steve approached every idea with preparation and precision. Whether discussing recording concepts, wardrobe direction, securing agents, coordinating promotional photography, supporting our UK and European tours, or even assisting backstage with hair and makeup — he brought both heart and strategic thinking. At one point, I affectionately dubbed him our “Chief ,Cook & Bottle Washer,” because there was truly nothing he wouldn’t do to ensure excellence.

Over the years, we worked closely and consistently. When my sister, Sundray Tucker, joined the group after Jean’s departure, she too experienced Steve’s dedication firsthand. By then, he had become “Stevie Weavie” to us — a cherished member of our extended family. We had met his wonderful parents and sisters, and somewhere along the way, the Weavers adopted us as their own.  What began as professional collaboration had grown into something deeply personal and lasting.

Today, our friendship remains strong. Steve Weaver exemplifies the rare combination of loyalty, industry savvy, and wholehearted commitment. He has given — and continues to give — far beyond expectation to help preserve and honor the legacy of The Supremes.

In our personal Hall of Favorite Fans, he will always hold the Number One position.
With love and enduring gratitude, Steevie Weavie — we appreciate you more than words can say.

Love,
Lynda Laurence

"F.L.O.S. Spotlight on Steve Weaver"

"As The Former Ladies of The Supremes celebrate our 40th anniversary, I'm reminded of my dear friend in the U.K., Mr. Steve Weaver!...  Steve has been there from the very beginning, even when I was a member of The Supremes back in the 70's with Mary Wilson, Cindy Birdsong and then, Susaye Greene...  Love was in the air and Steve consistently showed his love for the group by attending and supporting our concerts and other events. He even created some of the costumes for us after we formed F.L.O.S in the mid-eighties with Jean Terrell, Lynda Laurence, me, Sundray Tucker, Freddi Poole, Joyce Vincent and then, Susaye Greene...

I can't mention the totality of his support because there're so many things he's done to uplift and help our group to keep going throughout the years...We're still viable today partially because of Steve's undying love and support for us...He's been in our corner two-hundred percent!  Steve is more than just a devoted fan; he's been a wonderful friend and a blessing in my life and, for that, I'm truly grateful. I consider him part of my family.  I will always love him!  Thank you, Steve!  You're the best amongst the best!"

Blessings,
Scherrie Payne

"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Julian Bannister and Yannick Jules-Bannister for presenting such a beautifully curated and impeccably executed C.F.B. Foundation's "Heart of Gold" Gala (March 29th 2026.)

From the moment one stepped into the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel to the final farewell at the valet, every detail was handled with elegance, precision, and effortless grace. The entire evening unfolded like a perfectly orchestrated symphony-smooth as silk, with not a single note out of place.

The service, the cuisine, the flowing libations, the welcoming greeters, and yes-even the paparazzi—created an atmosphere of "lights, camera, action," all in celebration of a meaningful and unifying cause. It was especially delightful to witness a room filled with both the young and the seasoned, all adorned in their finest, sharing in such a joyful and vibrant experience.

The honorees were truly the crème de la crème - Ben Vereen, Garrett Morris, and Lynn Whitfield, to name just a few — each remarkable and deserving. The evening was further elevated by the incomparable Kim Whitley, who was at her absolute best as host, bringing warmth and laughter throughout. And what a wonderful surprise to see Martin Lawrence make an appearance to present the honor to Ms. Whitfield.

This was, without question, a night to remember-an event rooted in purpose, guided by care, and brought to life with excellence.

More than kudos—my hat is off to Julian, Yannick and the incredible team of volunteers and staff who made this extraordinary evening possible.

I truly enjoyed myself."
