Looking back (FLOS 2023) pictured with Stafford Floyd. Stafford is one of the writers on THE SUPREMES' 1976 single "You're My Driving Wheel." He's also the musical director at Scherrie's church in Southern California.

48 years ago today!

"You're My Driving Wheel" - This song was released on September 30, 1976 as the first single from The Supremes' final album "Mary, Scherrie & Susaye."

"You're My Driving Wheel" peaked at number five on the disco chart. On the Soul chart the single peaked at number fifty, and number eighty-five on the Hot 100.

"You're My Driving Wheel" was written by Brian Holland, Harold Beatty, Stafford Floyd, and Reginald Brown.

Today we are looking back to May 19th 2018 when former Supremes, Scherrie Payne & Susaye Greene with Joyce Vincent performed at the Jazz Rally Festival in Dusseldorf, Germany.

This trio performed together from winter 2017 to Spring 2024.

Sunday, September 22nd 2024 was a BUSY night for Scherrie, Lynda & Joyce! After their performance at The Gardenia club in West Hollywood the ladies raced over to The Catalina Jazz Club to see Scherrie's sister, Freda Payne.

On Sunday, September 22nd 2024 Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence, Former Ladies of The Supremes, with Joyce Vincent were the finale act on Ron Hasley's "Ron Hasley & Friends" show at The Gardenia Club in West Hollywood. Ron Hasley is the Ladies' Music Director, and he travels the world with the ladies, playing piano and keeping the band together. "We couldn't do what we do without Ron! He's the best!"

Sunday's show was opened by vocalist Andre Jackson. The Ladies have toured the world with Andre, He's a member of Glenn Leonard's TEMPTATIONS Revue. Next up was Crystal Wilson. Crystal is a current member of The Emotions, and is the mother of R&B singer Shanice Wilson. The third vocalist on the show was Lavann Davis, who you will know from the TV show "House of Pain." The Finale of the Evening was Scherrie, Lynda & Joyce. When Ron introduced Ladies he lovingly spoke of his work alongside the ladies, and they were welcomed to the stage with a rousing applause from the sold out room. The ladies performed a few of The Supremes' classics and closed their set with Pharrell Williams' classic "Happy," which had the packed room up on their feet dancing. On "Happy" the ladies were joined by Andre, Crystal & LaVann. A FABULOUS evening was had by all.

SCHERRIE PAYNE & LYNDA LAURENCE, Formerly of THE SUPREMES with JOYCE VINCENT, Former Ladies of The Supremes, perform The Beatles classic "I Want To Hold Your Hand" at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, CA. -September 15th 2024

The Ladies were special guests on a show titled "A Hard Day's Night - British Invasion Meets Motown."

Fun Fact: The Supremes (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson & Florence Ballard) recorded this song on their 1964 album "A Bit Of Liverpool."
