Today we are looking back to the late 1990, when the trio connsisted of Former Supremes, Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence with Freddi Poole. This lineup sang together 1996-2009.
From the desk of Steve Weaver: "I suggested we do a very casual look for the next photo shoot. The ladies already had their own jeans so I sourced three white shirts to complete the look and voila! This was the result. The ladies then had new publicity 8 x 10’s printed for the upcoming tour with James Brown and Dennis Edwards Temptations Revue, which saw us all zig-zagging across Germany for several weeks then moving onto the emirates for three shows in some huge, (and very hot) outdoor arenas. It was great fun doing the photo shoots. I’d make suggestions of what to wear, we’d all decide on two or three contrasting ‘looks’ then we’d spend a few hours in a photographic studio with a hairdresser, makeup artist, some great music pumping in the background to keep the energy up and after I’d taken enough pictures we’d go off somewhere to wind down with a nice meal. I had so many laughs with them - getting them to pose in different ways and never, ever did any of them say ‘No! I’m not doing that, because we trusted and respected each other." - Steve Weaver |
