#FlosFriday - Celebrating 34 years with the Former Ladies of The Supremes.  Today we are looking back to 1986, the very beginning of The Former Ladies of The Supremes' career, with Scherrie Payne, Jean Terrell and Cindy Birdsong.

In 1986, Scherrie Payne was approached by Ronnie Philips to form a new group consisting of former Motown Supremes.  Scherrie contacted former Supremes' members Cindy Birdsong and Jean Terrell who agreed to join, and the new trio was formed.  Their vision was to rekindle the glamour, style and music of The Supremes.  The name for the trio was a natural evolution.....THE F.L.O.S. - "The Former Ladies of The Supremes.”

This new trio of Scherrie, Jean and Cindy traveled to Colorado with The Originals ("Baby I'm For Real") for a performance that utimately didn't happen.

Unfortunately this brief lineup of F.L.O.S. never performed, recorded, or took
publicity/promo photos together as Cindy Birdsong shortly departed for a solo career.  Cindy was once again replaced by former Motown Supreme Lynda Laurence.

Enjoy these only known photos of this brief lineup of F.LO.S.   The photos are from the Scherrie Payne and Karen Boosier collections.  Enjoy and #KeepThemusicPlaying

#ThrowbackThursday - looking back with Joyce Vincent & her Tony Orlando & dawn days!

#ThrowbackThurday looking back with Joyce Vincent and her career with Tony Orlando & Dawn.

Tony Orlando and Dawn were one of the 1970's most beloved and best selling music acts.  Although Dawn was always a duo onstage, every Dawn recording was a trio that consisted of Joyce Vincent-Wilson, Telma Hopkins and Pam Vincent (Joyce's sister.)

Tony Orlando & Dawn officially disbanded in 1977, but 11 years later in 1988 the group reemerged with their "Together Again" reunion tour.  Early on in the Tour Telma Hopkins departed which opened up the opportunity for Pam Vincent to join the group onstage.  This lineup of Tony Orlando & Dawn performed together 1989-1994.  #Lookingback #Memories
