 Anjala Lawrence (Lynda Laurence's granddaughter) moments before she hit the stage playing the drums for the Former Ladies of The Supremes. 7-18-2026 Hello All, I trust you are happy and healthy! This is a special post for me. On Saturday, July 18th 2026 a very special event happened, dare I say a "watershed moment" in my musical career. As some of you may know, as a young person I aspired to be a drummer. Well… for reasons we won’t go into now, that simply didn’t happen for me. It has happened in the form of my talented, lovely granddaughter Miss Anjala Lawrence! If you missed our 40th Anniversary Show, you missed seeing this young powerhouse drummer playing for who? her Grand MaMa of course! She Played on our version of The Temptations classic “Get Ready!” From the moment she sat down at the drums, with her sticks in hand, she did what I always wanted to do….Play some drums!!! That girl can play the drums. She is a good time keeper and her fills knock me out! Now if this is how good she is at 17 years old, soon she will be a force to be reckoned with! Above her dynamite playing, she is, and has always been a wonderful granddaughter. I have to give a shout out to my grandson, Mr. Trevor Lawrence, Jr. who is, that’s right you guessed it, a Drummer also! In fact hey often work together, and I encourage it. So to my darling Anjala, I want to "THANK YOU" for giving us energy with your fabulous playing! All I can say is “You Go Girl!” Keep the Music Playing Love Always, Lynda Laurence

Ron Hasley (our Music Director) and the guys in the band were phenomenal and when Lynda’s 17-year-old granddaughter, Anjala Lawrence, came onstage and played drums for us on “Get Ready,” the place went wild! She was sensational!! So much talent in that family! It was a sold-out show and the love was truly felt in the room from beginning to end especially when we sang, “That’s What Friends Are For.” We dedicated it to "The Supreme" Supreme, the late Mary Wilson. Many in the audience teared up. It truly was an emotional moment. I’m so grateful to all of or fans and friends who attended, including our family members. And a special thanks to my daughter, Shoshana Payne Phillips and Joyce’s sister, Pam Vincent, for enhancing our backgrounds with their beautiful voices. It was an unforgettable night! Having videos along side us added a nostalgic touch to the show. It is always good to have a bit of history to solidify the work we have done over the past 40 years.
Of course we could not have done the show without our wonderful musical director, Mr. Ron Hasley. Ron is a true musician through and through! He makes sure things are done right! Thank you Ron, you’re the Best! I’d also like to give a “shout out” and thanks to Pamela Vincent & Shoshanna Payne Phillips for their back up vocal support. You sounded great as always! A big “THANK YOU!” to our special guests Ms. Freddie Pool & Ms. Susaye Greene. Freddi performed alongside us from 1996 to 2009. Susaye is lovingly knows as “The Last Supreme” joining the Motown trio in 1976-1977. She was also a member of FLOS 2017-2024. Freddie and Susaye, we thank you and we honor you, your fabulous performances that evening were simply SUPREME! To our fans, we can never THANK YOU enough for the years of loyalty you have given us. Your caring over the years has given us the fortitude to keep going and to never give up! So once again THANK YOU to our steadfast fans & friends for being a surrounding force that keeps us going. Having said all of that, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our glue, our right and left arms, our binder and uniter……..our associate, Mr. Eric Iversen. Eric is truly the hardest working person in show business! This show and everything related to FLOS is a reflection of his diligent industriousness with our group. At the show, his name was called out more than any other that night! That’s because he knew every nuance of the show! It is a joy to work with such a dedicated, unpretentious and loyal person. We love working with Eric, and we look forward to continuing our long standing relationship. There are two others I must mention. First from the U.K. Mr. Steve Weaver, who recorded our video history that opened the show. Steve has done so much more, but for now…we say THANK YOU so much for helping us bring this show to fruition. Last but not least is William Norman, who is our “Johnny on the spot!” He is there to look after us and that is exactly what he does! His famous expression is “I’ve got you.” He sees to everything that needs to be seen to! So we say “THANK YOU Will!” Your hard work is most definitely seen and appreciated. It was a great night with great people and we had great fun! I have to thank my “Sisters Supreme” Scherrie Payne & Joyce Vincent, we truly had a memorable 40th Anniversary Celebration! Lynda Laurence's 17 year old granddaughter Anjala Lawrence stepped in to play drums on "Get Ready" - bringing the ladies back on stage to a thunderous applause. This was Anjala's first time playing drums for the group. FUN FACT: Anjala's father, Trevor Lawrence Jr. (Lynda's son) is a renowned drummer as well, and one of his earliest professional gigs was playing drums for The Former Ladies of The Supremes in Japan; when he was 16 years old! 19.
