I’d make suggestions of what to wear, we’d all decide on two or three contrasting ‘looks’ then we’d spend a few hours in a photographic studio with a hairdresser, makeup artist, some great music pumping in the background, to keep the energy up. After we had taken enough pictures we’d go off somewhere to wind down with a nice meal. I had so many laughs with them - getting them to pose in different ways and never, ever did any of them say ‘No! I’m not doing that.’ We trusted and respected each other. We had dates coming up with the Three Degrees that were club/disco gigs across Europe, finishing in Amsterdam. I suggested the ladies wear large satin shirts (which I made for them) with black leggings and a black singlet top underneath to make the shirts pop. It meant they could move easily in a hot/sweaty environment. They looked great onstage because I sourced some large diamanté buttons and huge earrings to compliment their outfits. I found three matching pairs of amazing earrings while in Bangcock. Scherrie and Lynda still have theirs.
