On Sunday, February 25th 2024 Scherrie Payne performed at La Voix Studio's "Singer/Songwriter" showcase.   The event was held at Kulak's Woodshed in North Hollywood CA.

La Voix studio is owned and operated by Scherrie's daughter Shoshana Payne Phillips. La Voix Studio is a place where singers come to develop and improve their voices. Students learn how to use their voice by rehabilitating vocal issues, discover great techniques, eliminate vocal breaks, strengthen their voice, expand their range, gain power, balance, and control in their voice.

Shoshana's students performed their original material and songs written by other well known singer/songwriters.

Special guest, Scherrie Payne performed an original song she wrote titled "How Many Times Must You Leave, Before You Really Go?"  Other celebrity performers included Freda Payne who sang "Here's To Life" and Pam Vincent who performed an original composition.  A great evening was had by all.

Hello Everyone,

On Sunday February 18th, I had the pleasure of working with my "Supreme Sisters" once again.
This time we paid Tribute to the lady I dubbed “The Supreme, Supreme" Ms. Mary Wilson.

It was so gratifying to hear the applause and to see the reaction from our many loyal fans in the audience. I might add, it was SOLD OUT. Not bad for a group that has weathered the test of time and are still standing 60 years later!

I wish to thank all of our loyal and incredible fans and friends who came out in the rain to see us. Catalina Jazz Club has always been supportive of our work. We wish to thank their team as well.

This Legacy is going to continue. This year look for a surprise or two. Even after 60 years, there’s still more to come on the horizon!

Keep The Music Playing
Love Always
Lynda Laurence

NEWS ARTICLE - April 2000

Diana Ross and the Supremes are back!

Diana Ross & The Supremes announced their "Return To Love" arena tour at Grand Central Terminal in New York on April 4th 2000.  The tour starts June 14th in Philadelphia and ends on Aug. 15th in Las Vegas.

Miss Ross took pains to say that the tour was not a reunion. The Supremes, Lynda Laurence and Scherrie Payne, joined the group in 1972 (Laurence) and 1973 (Payne) respectively. Miss Ross had not performed alongside this new line-up of Supremes until they taped their appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
